True story from last night.
Just because a guy is nice when he’s sober, doesn’t mean he can’t turn violent after one too many drinks. You never think it would happen on a small campus like mine, but it can. And you especially don’t think it’ll happen to you until it does. It was a scary experience, and while I was able to fight him off me, I could have not been so lucky. While the guy feels sorry for what he did, it’s a memory that I can’t take back or easily forget for awhile, and it’s a bruise on my friend’s face that she can’t just get rid of. Even though he’s one of the nicest guys, I’m now terrified of him. Please be cautious when someone’s been drinking, especially if you haven’t been around them the entire night.

No relationship is perfect, ever. There are always some ways you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater. The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences. And that’s the key. It’s like a big pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. Love can make up for a lot.
